Pg 10c L1 | Philadelphia Inquirer, The (PA) - Thursday, December 22, 1988 George T. Cook 2d, 66, a longtime engineer, died Monday at the Devon Manor nursing home. He had lived in Devon for 32 years. Mr. Cook was an engineer for Allen Sherman Hoff Co. in Malvern, a design engineering company. A senior cost estimator, he had retired in May. Previously he worked for the Philadelphia Gear Corp. in King of Prussia and the Brooks Instrument Co. in Hatfield. He was a 1944 graduate of Princeton University and served the Navy during World War II. He was a vestryman at Christ Church in Ithan, Delaware County, and was superintendent of the Sunday school and a Sunday school teacher. He also was an avid sailor. Survivors: his wife, Anne Haon Cook; son, George T. 3d; daughter, Phyllis Wechsler; two grandsons, two brothers and two sisters. Services: 1 p.m. today, Christ Church, 536 Conestoga Rd., Ithan; interment, private. |
